Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the quality of textbooks that can be seen in terms of content, language, and presentation. The importance of this research is that before being used by students as learning resources in primary and secondary education texts, it can be assessed first with the appropriate quality. Student learning styles are taken into consideration when developing textbook content, which includes explanations of specific subjects or fields of study. Using a descriptive approach and data analysis techniques, this study examined the content of Indonesian language textbooks for the SMP Curriculum 2013 class VIII. Students' textbooks appear to be aligned with 2013 curriculum standards, according to this study. The year 2013 and the level of language development among students. Therefore, the Indonesian text for class VIII SMP Curriculum 2013 is appropriate to be used as a learning resource. From the results of the analysis of the relevance of the content of the textbook on this news material, it produces a detailed representation of the text with an organized depth of material and content that meets the 2013 curriculum standards.
